White
Horse TREC Group
was formed in 2003 to cater for the
growing number of people interested in the sport of BHS TREC. We are
based primarily in the East
Midlands and Yorkshire. We
don't
have a specific (showground) base, as the club originated through
people
with common interest rather than common location, so we currently cover
Leicester, Nottingham, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
People from other
places
are very welcome (we have members from Warwickshire and County Durham!)
but may find that some events are a bit far flung.
We
run
regular events throughout the year including training sessions on all
aspects of TREC (novice to advanced, mounted and unmounted),
training/pleasure rides, competitions, cross-country schooling, social
events, trips and outings. We're a friendly lot and the main aim is to
enjoy ourselves!
We try to spread the events around at suitable venues, so
that
hopefully there is something close to everyone SOME of the time. We
have so far held events in all the above main counties, and we are part
of British Riding Clubs Area 16 so regularly put teams forward for
their dressage, show jumping and cross country competitions. Please click
here for
details about how to join in with the various WHTG
team events.
Club members are a varied
bunch of all ages, with all kinds of horses and ponies - from
successful
international TREC
competitors to people just starting out and keen to do more.
